Canon 7D update

After investigating further and trying different lenses, it turns out it is my EF 28-135 USM lens’ stabilizer making the noise and not the camera. I turn the stabilizer off and the noise is gone!

Hooray for not broken cameras!

Canon 7D question/concern

So after playing with my new camera all day, I noticed that while in movie mode, the camera makes a soft hum sound that picks up on the cameras internal mic, I am worried that it will also pick up on any mic I mount on the camera as well. Is it normal for the camera to make this sound?
