A few impressions from Avatar.
Things I was thinking while watching it:
- 3-D is not a gimic. It is far passed that with this movie.
- How long will it be before we can watch 3-D like this at home with out red and blue glasses?
- Who do I talk to about making 3-D glasses with real frames? Contact me and let’s make a million dollars.
- How long will it be before we can watch 3-D without glasses?
- How long will it be before we can watch 3-D at home without glasses?
James Cameron didn’t set out to make the best movie, because by no means is it the new Back To The Future (aka the best movie ever made [kidding {no I’m not}]). He set out to make a groundbreaking movie. 3-D cinema is the future of filmmaking. Things will be different for filmmakers and this film was the trailer for our future.
Things have changed. 3-D is definitely here to stay, and I couldn’t be more excited about my future as a filmmaker.
